Strengthening academic abilities through personalised attention

In an attempt to address the academic gap between the EWS category students and regular students, Samagraa provides tutorials and academic assistance to students from Nursery to Grade 10. We appoint experienced and subject-specific tutors to conduct tutorials in order to help the children improve their test scores, finish assignments and homework and keep up with the regular school syllabus. We follow a 1 teacher for every 4 student ratio, ensuring personal attention to the unique needs of every child.

At Samagraa, we provide one-on-one counselling to the students as well as the parents. This ensures a cohesive learning environment and also, helps us understand the issues and needs of each child.

During the pandemic, we ensured that the learning of Samagraa children did not stop. Hence, we moved to the online mode of teaching. Samagraa provided its children with digital infrastructure by donating phones and giving mobile data top-ups.

Who we serve

Currently, we have children from GD Goenka School Vasant Kunj, DPS Vasant Kunj, DPS International, DPS RK Puram, Bhatnagar International School, Masonic Public School etc.

We enrol children who are largely from the primary wing so that they can be nurtured early on in their formative years to cope with academics and society at large. Our long-term objective is to empower them to make crucial life decisions and choose career paths of their interest.

Methodology

Academic Development

We have on board a team of four trained, qualified and experienced teachers from excellent backgrounds who not only tutor the children but also counsel the kids while teaching as an ongoing process.

Social Skill Development

We conduct regular workshops in collaboration with professional academies. Some of the activities include personality development, etiquette, as well as story telling, drama and dance where they get stage exposure along with the training.

Psychological Development

Keeping in mind the gap between their interactions at home and at school, we felt that regular psychological support is essential to help keep their life in a balance of sorts. We have associated with Karma Centre to work regularly on this very important aspect.

Mental Development

We regularly invite trained instructors for Super Brain Yoga, Mid- brain activation, mind mapping, etc.

Value Education

This is an ongoing activity that we conduct everyday through discussion and if required, counseling.

We hold regular parent-teacher meetings to update the parents on the academic progress and also to sync them with our philosophy so that we can work in partnership towards our goal of the holistic development of the children.
